Manaslu Conservation Area is a protected area in Nepal. It was established in 1998 and encompasses 1,663 km2 (642 sq mi) in the Himal Mansiri range of the Himalayas in the Gorkha District.


The Manaslu Circuit Trek is becoming increasingly popular in Nepal's remote midwestern area.
The trek from Lodge to Lodge Manaslu hike in Nepal focuses on Mt. Manaslu, the world's eighth-highest mountain at 8,163 meters (26,781 feet), which translates as "The energy Mountain". The Manaslu tea house style walk, like its name implies, offers hikers the opportunity for an awakening of spirit by experiencing the cultural legacy, legendary beauty, and severe wilderness experience. Trekking across Nepal's mountains is like a form of meditation.

One of Nepal's top mountaineering attractions is the Manaslu Circuit Trek. The best seasons to go on the Manaslu Circuit Trek would be the spring and autumn. The finest months to hike in the autumn are October, November, and December. In January, trekking is another option. The ideal months to go on the Manaslu Circuit Trek are thought to be spring, march and April. The climate is excellent during the various seasons, and the mountain range is plainly visible.

Autumn — Sept to Nov = Best weather, clear skies, stable conditions

Spring — Mar to May = Beautiful rhododendron blooms and warmer days

Trek Plans

  • Day 1 Arrival Day at Kathmandu (1345m)

    Our office staff will meet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and bring you to your accommodation.  After you clean up, we will give you a quick overview of the tour and then take you on a little cultural program with supper, followed by an overnight stay in Thamel.  

     

  • Day 2 Kathmandu to Soti Khola (710m)

    After a delicious breakfast, we began our journey by driving from Kathmandu to Arughat Bazar, and further to SotiKhola, we drove towards the rural village of Arughat. The journey takes about 5 hours, and the road is home to the wilderness of Nepal, which takes place in the form of rugged terrain, clear rivers, and high suspension bridges. The route is rough but provides an exhilarating experience. Aarughat is a town located on the banks of the majestic Budi Gandaki River. From there, we head towards the trekking trail of Solti Khola. To reach Solti Khola, you can use a bus or jeep. Overnight at teahouse in Sotikhola.

  • Day 3 Soti Khola to Machha Khola (900m)

    On this day, After delicious breakfast, we start climb through the trail of the Budi Gandaki and cross beautiful Sal forests, then climb onto a ridge. Our journey takes us past tropical waterfalls, some rice terraces, and then lead to the Gurung Village Labubesi. We rise behind a rocky outcrop that provides a beautiful view of the valley and the Budi Gandaki. Walking across sandy riverbeds and ridges and crossing a suspension bridge leads us to the village of MachhaKhola. Overnight stay ta simple teahouse.

  • Day 4 Machha Khola to Jagat (1,410m)

    The trail descends on a hot spring in Tatopani, and from there it is another ridge climbing and bridge crossing. And traversing the greenery leads you to the stone stairs that head to TharoBharyang. By crossing the west bank of Budi Gandaki and trekking along the river, we reach the primitive village of Jagat, which still upholds its traditional lifestyles and ways. Overnight stay at teahouse.

  • Day 5 Jagat to Dyang (1,860m)

    Dyang village is home to stunning views of the Himalayas and offers a tranquil environment for anyone looking to get lost in nature.To reach Dyang, we initially climb to Salieri and then descend to Sirdibas. We follow the upstream trail, and route we cross villages like Philim and Ekle Bhatti, and we traverse through millet fields as well. As you trek further, the landscape changes from rugged to grassy slopes. After crossing the bamboo forests and DyangKhola, we reach Dyang.  Overnight stay at teahouse.

  • Day 6 Dyang to Ghap (2,630m)

    After trekking from Dyang, you have to cross the Budhi Gandaki and climb Rana.From the bridge, we do a bit of climbing and join a trail from Bhi, then head west. The trail passes through forests, and from there we turn towards a corner that leads to Ghap. Ghap is famous for its Mani stones, and it provides a surreal view of the mountains that lie ahead.   • Day 7 Ghap to Lho (3180m)

    Lho comprises a large gompa, which serves as a basis of education for many children there. It is a beautiful village with well-carved chorten.The trail crosses the side valley of SimnangHimal. In Lho village, we can enjoy amazing views of Mount Manaslu. Overnight stay at teahouse.

  • Day 8 Lho to Samagaon (3530m)

    After a good breakfast, we trek through the lodge through difficult trails surrounded by huge mountains like Himachal Pradesh, Manaslu, and other large glaciers. The Ganesh Himal stands at the far end. Acquaint yourself with the unique traditions of the Sherpa culture and try to decipher the mani stones written in Buddhist texts. Visit the PungyenGompa, which is famous for its religious as well as natural significance. Overnight at teahouse.

  • Day 9 Samagaon to Somdu (3860m)

    We descend to the Budhigandaki River and then follow it to a bridge over a nearby stream. And This is a relatively easy trail on the upper shelf of the river and passes through the birch forests of Kermohark. We cross the Budhi Gandaki on a wooden bridge. Somdu is a small village inhabited by people of Tibetan origin.The place is cold, damp and dry. Overnight stay at teahouse.

  • Day 10 Acclimatization day at Samdu

    To prepare for further trekking, we take a day off to acclimatize to the weather in Somdu. Take advantage of your day by hiking behind Samdo Village. The trek showcases ancient trading passes in Tibet and offers great views of snow-capped mountains like Manaslu, Simrang, and Ngadi. The hike provides ample time to view the settlements and the flora and fauna. Overnight stay at teahouse.

  • Day 11 Samdu to Duwang (4460m)

    Our day starts by walking on the edge, crossing a wooden bridge, and descending upwards. On the trail, we see the Larkya Glacier, cross two streams, and go around the valley of SalkaKhola. After an upward climb, there is a stone guesthouse, which is not exactly a lodge but a shelter house called Dharmashala. This place is popularly known as LarkyaPhedi, which translates to ‘foot of Larkya.'Overnight stay at teahouse.

  • Day 12 Duwang to Bhimtang (3590m)

    Today is the longest day of our trip, as you’ll wake up early to conquer the challenges in front of you. A short climb above the lodge will lead you to the northern side of Larkya Glacier. We cross through frozen lakes and admire the beauty of Larkya Peak. By crossing boulder fields and ridgelines, we come across a spectacular panorama of the Himalayan peaks like Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, and Kang Guru. There is a steep descent to reach the trail leading to DangbocheKharka. It is a good place to stop and rest before continuing the descent to Bhimthang. Overnight stay at teahouse.

  • Day 13 Bhimtang to Tilje village (2320m)

    We descend a little, cross a high kharka (Sangurekhark) and cross the bridge over the Dudhkhola. The trail passes through rhododendron forests and a narrow valley.
    We reach the highest farmland in Karche. We pass across fields before doing a climb over a ridge. We reach Tilje village. Overnight stay at teahouse.

  • Day 14 Tilje village to Dharapani and drive to KTM (1330m)

    We cross the stream beyond Tilije and walk on a dirt road with Dharapani in the Marsyangdi valley. We cross the Marsyangdi River and then climb stone steps to reach the town of Dharapani. We head towards the north of Dharapani and join the Annapurna Circuit Trek. If you wish, we can continue the Annapurna Circuit Trek. But today we take a local Jeep/bus to Kathmandu.

  • Day 15 Departure Day

    Our airport representative will take you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure, and we thank you for joining with us for the memories we made. Hope to see you again with some more energy .
